
The Farandole de Courtepin from the canton of Fribourg will present the various facets of Swiss folklore. At the crossroads of multiple influences, its repertoire ranges from the Coraule – a typical circle dance from the canton of Fribourg – to the Polka, the Farandole, the Schottisch or the Waltz. On the one hand, this folk group performs traditional dances that used to be performed at village balls. On the other hand, it regularly creates innovative choreographies designed for the stage. Decades of experience have brought the Farandole together since its foundation in 1938. The group regularly takes part in international festivals abroad and represented Switzerland among 40 other countries at the CIOFF® World Folkloriada in Russia in July 2021.
